Communication brings people together, but the key of it is to understand each other, therefore if people do not speak the same language they will not be able to have an understandable conversation which going to divide them. I took time to look around my school which is a good example of diversity and I noticed that Spanish speaker will associate with one another, people from Somali will be together and I asked myself why. Therefore I came with the conclusion that language is the main reason that they associate to each other, because they have they ability to understand each other without having any misunderstanding of the language.
language is being able to communicate, if people are not able to understand one another, they will not associate with one another. In conclusion I feel that language divide us, specially when we do not speak the same language.
I agree with you good reason. Language can divide people and that people who speak the same language will associate themselves together, but if you don't speak their language you will feel that you don't belong with to them.

ReplyDeleteI totally agreed with you Leo. Two people that do not speak the same language can not communicate in this case the language divides us.Even today many people from different nations live in US and learn English and speak it but it sill divides us because you are always going to see people that speak the same language together all the time, even though you are friend with them, it feels weird because you are not from that community.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this, but the conclusion has primary cause, and is the culture; people feels identified by their culture and what better example that language. Language may mean several things to you, but when you are in another country you can easily find yourself lost because the poor domination or not at all, makes it harder for you to connect with other ones, and hence, when you find people from your same background you can feel identified and you are going to stick to that person or people because since language is the common denominator you are connecting and understanding them.
